About this product
1. What Is the Difference Between C D and S'd Cat Food?
Answer
Hill’s prescription diet food has various abbreviations for the foods meant for specific purposes. CD is the cysteine dissolving food and SD is the struvite dissolving food. Use of SD diet food is recommended when your pet has been detected with struvite stones in their urinary system. The administration of the prescription diet SD food should continue till the time you get a urine test result which is devoid of such stones. The prescription diet CD food on the other hand is capable of preventing the recurrence of both the struvite and cystine stones. This is advised post a surgical process to remove the stones or once they are dissolved.
2. What Is the Best Cat Food for Urinary Problems?

The added omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants can help improve the overall health of your cat at its various life stages.
3. What Is a CD Diet for Cats?

Answer
Yes, you must have a veterinarian prescription for ordering Hill’s prescription foods. Great food
My cat mainly eats the stress formula c/d. He loves this intermittently for a little variety. I can tell he notices & loves a little change now & then. I always order both.

My cat loves it
He won't eat any other wet urinary food. He's been on it for about 8 years and has been crystal free. He has FIC, but in remission for about 5 years, thankfully. We love chicken veggie stew.
